BASTIEN LANUSSE
Nationality: French
Age: 25
Hometown: Victoria, B.C. / Tofino, B.C.
“I was born and raised in Hossegor, France, and I started surfing
when I was 6 years old. I grew up in a surf club there, and I competed
in the local contests they had throughout the year. After high school
I studied civil engineering for 3 years in La Rochelle, and then came
to Canada on a 1-year working visa. The year after that I immigrated
here, and in June ’06 I became a permanent resident. And I’m
getting married soon, so I’m pretty stoked these days. When I’m
not surfing, I’m into snowboarding, playing squash, cooking, bear
watching…”
A Few Highlights…
“I’ve traveled to Reunion Island, Tahiti, Portugal, Spain,
and the U.S. My favourite spot on Vancouver Island is Jordan River, and
in Europe it’s Les Bourdaines.” |
